Traci

Traci O'Sullivan M.A., R.C.C.

Traci is an accomplished therapist with a M.A. in Clinical Psychology and over 20 years of counselling experience. Over the span of her career, she has worked in multiple settings, both nationally and internationally, including: hospitals, mental health centres, outpatient clinics, wellness centres as well as private practice.

Traci works with adults, couples and older teens.  She treats a broad array of issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief, trauma, and adjusting to life transitions. Major life transitions can include new parenthood, retirement, dealing with a chronic illness, caring for an elderly parent, or grieving the loss of a loved one.  As an experienced marital therapist, Traci is also acutely aware of some of the key issues that couples struggle with such as communication, intimacy, parenting, finances, time management and balancing work and family.

Traci has extensive training in many approaches including Jungian psychology, cognitive behavioral psychology, mindfulness, family systems, object relations, depth psychology and dream work.  She is able to combine and integrate these therapeutic approaches to adapt to each client’s unique needs.

Traci enjoys traveling and has lived in several countries. Her time abroad has given her an increased awareness of cultural sensitivities and language barriers.  Beside her passion for studying and practicing psychology, Traci enjoys spending time with her family, running, skiing, yoga and reading.

Traci truly believes that the greatest gift you can give yourself, your partner and your family is the gift of self -awareness.  One of her favourite quotes is:

“The truth about intimate relationships is that they can never be any better than our relationship with ourselves” James Hollis
