Heidi Benoit
M.Ed., R.C.C.
Heidi Benoit is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over 25 years of experience in educational settings, most recently as a school counsellor supporting children and their families. Heidi supports parents and families who feel overwhelmed or stuck in challenging patterns. She helps parents make sense of emotional and behavioral cycles, strengthen communication, build skills for more effective responses in relationships and daily life at home.
Over the years, Heidi’s expertise has expanded to include adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, difficult life transitions and relationship challenges. Her approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and practical. In her practice, Heidi uses evidence-based modalities including DBT, CBT, IFS-informed work, somatic approaches, narrative therapy, and mindfulness practices. She works with each client to find an approach that fits, supporting greater self-connection and clarity around meaningful change.
Therapy can feel daunting, but Heidi’s goal is to help clients feel safe, seen, and understood. She offers a compassionate, grounded space where individuals can reconnect with themselves, not to fix what’s broken, but to return to the wholeness that has always been there. Clients often experience Heidi as warm, grounded, and direct. Her aim is to support meaningful, sustainable shifts that feel authentic and lasting.
Outside of her clinical work, Heidi is a parent to two children, one adult and one nearly there. She enjoys walking the North Shore trails with her dog Leo, gardening, reading, and spending time with her husband and family.
